BOWMAN NAMED CHAIRMAN ...The Board of Directors of the “Go Ye” Mission, Inc. recently named Dr. John Bowman as Chairman. Serving on the Board of Directors for many years, John has provided vision and leadership. Founder and Surgical/Medical Director of the Eastern Oklahoma Eye Clinic, he has been in private practice here in Tahlequah since 1979. Active in many civic organizations, he is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce and past Chairperson of the Cherokee County Republican Party. John has been involved in teaching Bible classes for over 20 years as a member of the South College Church of Christ . John is married to Maryann, who coaches tennis and works with the international students at Markoma. John and Maryann are the proud parents of two Markoma Christian School graduates, Jeff and Jennifer. They continue to be outspoken advocates of Christian education.

FUNDRAISER EXPANDS ... After selling 500 dozen doughnuts with our initial Krispy Kreme fund-raiser, the fund-raising committee was optimistic about the future of this fund-raising endeavor. Their expectations were realized with the February delivery of nearly 800 dozen doughnuts in the Tahlequah community. Each box of doughnuts is delivered with a note of thanks which contains a “mini brochure” about Markoma Christian School. By this we are able to promote Markoma to a great number of people at very little cost to the school. The community response has been wonderful!

If you would like to order some Krispy Kremes, give us a call at 458-7513 and we will deliver them to your door on Thursday April 25th.

NEW SIGN IS UP... A special thanks to Board member Christa Carlton for making it possible for us to update our sign on 4th St.
